Hebden Bridge Welcomes New Opticians

Popular and respected Hebden Bridge optician Mr Pravin Mamtora has retired from his town centre practice, handing over the reins to the family run Valli Group of opticians.

Mr Mamtora is a familiar face to many people in the town having run his practice for the last 27 years. He has been aware of local issues through his membership of the Hebden Bridge Traders’ Association

He said: “I have very much enjoyed my time working in Hebden Bridge. It is a small but thriving town with a strong sense of community. Everybody knows everybody else here and it was very important to me that the new owners of the practice would continue to keep individual patient well-being as its number one priority and dedicate time to getting to know each and every client.”

Mr Mamtora, who is looking forward to spending time travelling with his wife, Chandra, during his retirement, added: “I’m very impressed with the Valli Group. The owners, Moin and Rachel Valli, and their team have built an excellent reputation for offering their patients modern, high quality practices combined with traditional values of the very best in customer service.”

The Valli Group owns seven practices in West Yorkshire including the Valli Opticians on Burnley Road at Mytholmroyd.

Managing director Moin Valli, who runs the company with his wife Rachel, said: “We know how important it is to get to know our patients and we’re delighted to be working in such a friendly and vibrant town as Hebden Bridge. We’re passionate about providing state of the art equipment to make sure our patients receive the best possible care. And we also want you to feel relaxed to walk in, enjoy a coffee with our team and ask any questions you may have about the health of your eyes.”

A new addition to the team at the Mamtora Practice is well-known and popular Calderdale optician Russell Ramsden. Russell joined the Valli Group in October 2012 and had previously worked at Bottomley Opticians in Halifax for over 20 years.

Russell said: “I’m very much enjoying working for the Valli Group and meeting patients from across Calderdale and Huddersfield. The company is very forward thinking but always keeps at its heart its commitment to providing excellent patient care.”
