Staff at Valli Opticians Group make the world better with a sweater
On the 12th December the staff at all the Valli Opticians Group practices will be putting on their warmest, wackiest and most wonderful festive woollies to raise money for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.
The team will be joining hundreds of thousands of people in schools, offices and homes up and down the country as they sport a festive sweater for the day and donate £2 or more.
The money they raise will help save children’s lives around the world, from Syria to Liberia, Brazil to Bangladesh.
Moin Valli, CEO and founder of the group said: “Even a small donation can go a long way. Just £2 could pay for potentially life-saving antibiotics to treat three babies with infections. And the great thing is anyone can take part, whether you’re an individual or in a group, at school or in an office.”
Tanya Steele, Executive Director, Fundraising at Save the Children, said: “This year will be our biggest Christmas Jumper Day yet. We had over a million people take part last year and we want to see even more jumpers being worn this year.
Christmas Jumper Day is fun, easy to organise and everyone can be part of it. To find out more and sign up, visit www.christmasjumperday.org.
