Valli Excellence Awards
The inaugural Valli Staff Awards took place on Saturday 20th December at Bertie’s, Number One Brook Street in Elland.
This glamorous event saw staff and representatives from key suppliers come together to celebrate staff achievements and to recognise the contributions of all concerned.
Revellers gathered for an evening dedicated to celebrating the very best in optical care and customer service. The awards, organised by Moin Valli and his wife Rachel, have been established to give recognition for the outstanding achievements of the team, and recognition of the efforts of some individuals who have demonstrated true adherence to Valli Group customer service aspirations.
The winners and nominees for the individual categories were as follows:

Best act of customer service – Winner: Robin Bennett, the Manager of the Barbara Watson Eyecare in Wakefield.
The Nominees for this award were:

Robin Bennett – for rescuing a customer’s dog

Julie Williams – for looking after a young lady in Honley so well that one by one the rest of the family came in for an eye test and glasses

Sheryl Doe – for moving heaven and earth to find the right glasses for a very happy local doctor

Best dispense of the year – Winner: Stacy Moxey, Student Dispensing Optician, Hebden Bridge.
