Farewell Google Glass
So Google has withdrawn its high-tech eyewear Google Glass from sale. The techno glasses which allow users to video everything they do is being taken off the market following muted interest from the general public.
Google has confirmed in a Google+ blog post that people would no longer be able to buy the head-mounted, wearable computers through its Google Glass Explorer programme from 19 January.
However, Google was quick to deny that this means it’s pulling the plug on the venture completely, and claims this decision will give it more time to concentrate on “what’s coming next”.
“In the meantime, we’re continuing to build for the future, and you’ll start to see future versions of Glass when they’re ready,” the Google+ post continues.
