Jumper day is everybody’s festive favourite

Valli Opticians Group and our new acquisition A H Mertons Group all joined in the woolly revolution by thoroughly embracing this year’s Text Santa, Christmas Jumper Day to raise money and awareness for the charities Make-A-Wish UK, Save the Children and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Celebrating Christmas Jumper Day was a fabulous way to encourage all our teams to have some fun at this festive time of year. As well as the staff doing their bit in their festive knits, staff in many of our branches treated visitors to tasty cakes and biscuits, these included A H Mertons in Birchwood, Henry J Rose Optometrist in Hull and Valli Opticians in Wakefield. Hot chocolate was the order of the day in Birchwood, A H Mertons of Chorlton-cum-Hardy, and Valli Opticians in Hebden Bridge, and Honley. Hebden Bridge even had a “guess how many sweets in the jar” competition.

Our team from L Mitchells in Hyde really got into the spirit of the day by not only wearing their Christmas Jumpers, they donned Santa hats and festive specs to give the day all the finishing touches.
