Brassed Off
This Saturday we are attending Brass Factor at the Holmfirth Picturedrome. It is the second year we have sponsored this event and if last year is anything to go by then its sure to be a great evening. Personally I know nothing about Brass Bands and when we attended last year I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised and blown away (sorry) by the talent. The event has been founded by Alex Bray who is a keen to mix the old with the new and give the traditional Brass Band competition and modern talent show twist.
Last year we saw an energetic performance from the Hope Bank Youth Band who had everyone including the judges on their feet with their rendition of Uptown Funk. There was laughter from Lancashire Band Besses O’ th’ Barn who put on a humorous performance and we came away feeling thoroughly entertained.
Looking forward to this weekends entertainment and finding out which band will win the prestigious title of Brass Factor Winner 2016. For tickets go to http://brassfactor.com/tickets.html
We have enjoyed a great relationship with Brass Factor and although I have limited knowledge about Brass Bands we have a number of staff members who are involved with music and in particular Brass Bands. We specialise in providing eye wear solutions for musicians and can tailor prescriptions to suit.
