It’s “ALL CHANGE” at Valli Opticians

To quote the old rail man’s saying, it’s “all change” at Valli Opticians as we all bid a fond farewell to Angela Goldie our long serving receptionist and Optical Advisor who retired at the end of August. Angela who works between the Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd practices is looking forward to some exotic holidays and fun in the sun.

Angela started work in the Mytholmroyd practice in 2004 when it was known as Optimeyes Opticians. It became Valli Opticians in 2009 following its acquisition by our group. In 2012 the Valli Group, acquired Mamtora Opticians in Hebden Bridge, and Angela began to divide her time between the two branches and is now a familiar face in both establishments.

While Angela is leaving for a well earned rest,  Samantha Eastwood has joined our team and will divide her time between Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd.

Samantha joins a firmly established team including, resident Optometrists Russell Ramsden and Oliver Sewell, who have a combined experience of 35 years in the optical profession. Both Oliver and Russell came to  Valli Opticians from J&R Bottomley Opticians in Halifax. Stacy Moxey, Valli’s bubbly and talented Student dispensing optician divides her endless enthusiasm between working in our Hebden Bridge Practice and studying at Bradford University. Optical Advisor Tracy Eastwood, is the Senior Optical Adviser, and Sheryl Doe is Valli Groups mobile Dispensing Optician and Digital & E-Commerce manager. Kayleigh Felstead is the manager, although she is currently on maternity leave following the birth of her beautiful daughter earlier this summer.

We at the Valli Group wish Angela all the best for her future retirement and thank her for her dedicated service over the years. Her friendly manner and easy going ways will be missed by staff and patients alike.  Angela said “ I have enjoyed working with lots of very nice people and will miss all the staff and patients alike, some of whom have become very good friends”
