Look who’s talking – Sheryl Doe

Following on from their successes at the Valli Staff Awards in Elland last winter we have interviewed our winners. Here we would like to introduce Sheryl Doe, winner of the Valli Group Dispense of the Year 2015. Sheryl is a dispensing optician and the E-Commerce and Digital manager for the Valli Group.

Valli                     How did you feel when you won your award and where is it now?

Sheryl Doe        I’m very proud to have won this award, but I do feel that it was a team effort thanks to support of the fantastic staff at Hebden Bridge. It is as much theirs as it is mine.

                               The award is displayed in the Hebden Bridge practice alongside the Branch Of The Year award.

Valli                      What’s the one accomplishment you’re most proud of and why?

Sheryl Doe         My family. I have four children and I am proud of each and everyone of them, for all their achievements and successes. They have all grown up to be successful in their own right and I think of them as much as friends as family. My grandson is also the icing on the cake, he is a fabulous young lad of whom I am very proud and a credit to his Mum and Dad.

Valli                       If you had only one word to describe yourself, what would it be?

Sheryl Doe          Determined.

Valli                        What’s your passion?

Sheryl Doe           Music and Social Media.

Valli                         If you were an animal what would you be?

Sheryl Doe           A Camel!  If you don’t know why, read Pyramids by Terry Pratchett, who is in my opinion the greatest story teller that ever lived.

As a  self confessed Geek, Sheryl has a passion is for all things IT. When she is not working at  Valli HQ, Sheryl, who is a qualified dispensing optician can be found in any one of the Valli practices. In her spare time, Sheryl enjoys spending time with her family and playing in some of the local brass bands.
