Valli Group Joins Le Tour to France
Valli Group of Opticians managing director Moin Valli is taking part in a European adventure in aid of the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.
Moin and Tfive Design’s Andrew McGee are taking part in the Forget Me Not 500, a banger rally which departs on Thursday June 13 and goes through England, Belgium and France concluding with a visit to the world famous Le Mans 24 hours race.
Teams were given £500 towards their expenses for the trip, and it was then up to them to raise the target sponsorship of £3000, be it through offering advertising space on their cars and clothes or gaining sponsorship from colleagues, friends and family.
Moin Valli from the Valli Opticians team said: “When we heard about the Forget Me Not 500 we were really excited to get involved. I’ll be driving a classic MG in the rally alongside Andrew McGee of TFive Design. In the run up to the event we’ve been busy raising awareness and funds, including a successful charity event which we hosted at the Lewis James car showroom in Huddersfield.
“I’m looking forward to crossing the Channel and putting some va va voom into our fundraising drive!”
The route for the rally includes teams driving to Brussels where they will enjoy lunch before heading to Paris for the evening.
The next day the teams will make the journey from Paris to Le Mans.

Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice provides care for over 100 families through its state of the art hospice Russell House and the Hospice at Home service.
The charity must raise £2.8million each year to provide their services and with less than 5% of this coming from government funding, the support of the local community is vital.
