Valli Opticians Host Mother’s Day Event in aid of Children’s Hospice

There’ll be a glass of bubbly on arrival, scrumptious canapés, beauty treatments, goody bags and more at an event being hosted by Valli Opticians to celebrate Mother’s Day.

The ‘First Eyes You Ever See’ event is being held from 6pm on Thursday, March 14, at the Valli Opticians in Huddersfield Road at Lockwood. There will also be a raffle in aid of the Valli Group’s chosen charity, the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

Rachel Valli, who runs the Valli Group of Opticians with her husband Moin, said: “We wanted to host an event in honour of all that mums do. After all, the first eyes you ever gaze into in your life are your mums so we decided to put on a special evening where you can have fun and bond with the most important ladies in your life.

“Join us to celebrate Mother’s Day with a glass of fizz, gorgeous nibbles provided by Eric’s Restaurant and a whole host of girly fun including mini manicures.”

There’ll also be the opportunity to try on the latest designer spectacles from Fendi, Michael Kors and Valentino.

Instead of a red carpet guests will walk into the venue along a special purple carpet, in tribute to the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

Rachel added: “We recently decided that the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice would be the Valli Group’s chosen charity and this is the first fund-raising event we will be holding for them. They are a fantastic charity and the work that they do is very humbling. The entire Valli Group team is proud to be able to help support the charity and we will be taking part in many fund-raising events on their behalf over the coming months.”

It’s also fantastic that they have organised an event that celebrates mums. At the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice we understand how important mums are, so for Rachel to be able to show support for the children’s hospice and pamper mothers is truly superb. I can’t thank them enough for their fundraising.”

There are seven opticians’ practices in the Valli Group portfolio across Huddersfield and Calderdale.
