Valli Opticians welcomes new apprentices
Valli Opticians has welcomed two new apprentices to the team.
Maariyah Ahmed, 17, has taken up an apprenticeship position in customer service while 16 year-old Brittany Gaunt has also taken an apprenticeship in customer service.
Maariyah, a former Honley High pupil who left Greenhead College in Huddersfield with AS Levels in Law, Applied Business Studies, Psychology and Health and Social Care, will work at Valli Opticians’ branches in Honley and Lockwood.
Brittany, a former Holmfirth High School pupil, will work at the Valli Opticians branch in Meltham.
Valli Opticians Managing Director Moin Valli said: “We’re delighted to welcome Maariyah and Brittany to the team and we’re all looking forward to working with them and assisting in developing their skills to ensure the very best in customer service for our patients.
“We take great pride in nurturing talent and supporting our employees through a range of professional development, mentoring and training opportunities. Maariyah and Brittany are our first apprentices and we also have one more apprentice vacancy available, at our Calderdale branches in Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge.”
The apprenticeship positions were delivered through Woodspeen Training. Samantha Wilson Training Director at Woodspeen Training said “Woodspeen Training have been successfully delivering Apprenticeships across numerous sectors for over 20 years, this is an exciting opportunity for Woodspeen Training to work in partnership with Valli Opticians to deliver the Customer Service Apprenticeships within their West Yorkshire based branches.”
Valli Group is an award winning, independent local company which owns Valli Opticians practices in Meltham, Lockwood, Honley and Mytholmroyd, alongside S D Haigh Opticians in Almondbury and Mamtora Opticians in Hebden Bridge. The company also runs a domiciliary eye care business and a corporate eye care business.
