We’ve Had a Facelift!

MP Jason McCartney cuts the ribbon at the grand re-opening of the Valli Opticians practice in Meltham, with Moin and Rachel Valli

We had a fantastic evening at the grand re-opening of our practice in Huddersfield Road at Meltham on Friday.Throughout November our Hampshire Opticians practices in Lockwood, Meltham and Honley have been undergoing a transformation. The practices have been renamed Valli Opticians and the Meltham branch has undergone an extensive refurbishment.

To celebrate we held a mince pie and mulled wine evening at the Meltham branch, to coincide with the village’s Christmas lights switch on. Colne Valley MP Jason McCartney performed the official opening of the new look practice.

The Hampshire practices have been part of the Valli Group of independent opticians since 2005 when husband and wife team Moin and Rachel Valli purchased them.

Moin, who was named Young Business Person of the Year in the Huddersfield Examiner Business Awards 2012 earlier this month, said: “Along with our team we are passionate about providing state of the art equipment to make sure our patients receive the best possible care.

“During November our Meltham practice closed for two weeks to undergo a comprehensive refurbishment programme. It re-opened on November 26th when all the Hampshire Opticians practices were renamed Valli Opticians.

“There are still the same friendly faces working in our practices delivering the same exceptional service under the same management and ownership.”

Colne Valley MP Jason McCartney said: “I met Moin recently at the Huddersfield Examiner Business Awards where he was named Young Business Person of the Year. I was immediately impressed by his dedication to his patients, his passion for the area and his ambitions to grow the business and continue providing top quality eye care for our local community.”

There are seven optical practices in the Valli Group portfolio including the recently acquired Mamtora Opticians in Hebden Bridge.
